Having branched off topic last week, I couldn't do it again? Right?
I'm not the rule breaking type, however I couldn't get into this list.
So alas, I did it again.
I'm still keeping the "kids" topic, but instead this week for listicles, I'm thinking back to Sisters! Sorry Joey. When I was pregnant with Maeve, I did not know if She was a She. I had told those asking that I didn't care. I wanted a healthy and happy baby. That's the morally responsible response, correct? However, deep down in the crevices of my heart I hoped that Mo would be lucky enough to have a sister. When they announced "it's a girl" that cold January night, my own lifetime of shared memories with my sister overwhelmed me as I thought, how lucky for my own girls to have each other.
Sisters are...
1. Playmates
Always having a guest for a tea party or oponent in a game of Candyland.

ReplyDeleteooooh this is SO sweet. you're so very lucky to have girls who enjoy one another- and to have a sister whom you enjoy as well. i always get so envious of people like you, to be honest. :) sadly i have a better relationship with internet friends than i do my own sister... :(

Where would I be without my sister? LOST, that's where. Your girls might make each other crazy for a while (ah, adolescence) but in the long run? They're so lucky!! What a nice bday gift to your sister!

ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! My girls are 2 1/2 years apart, and I've always been so glad they have each other. I didn't have a sister and always wanted one for all the reasons you listed. Your girls look so sweet - love the pictures!

ReplyDeleteYep, that pretty much sums up how I feel about own sister too! (That is, AFTER she went away to college and came back. I learned to appreciate her in her absence.)
